Music is integral to our worship at St. Andrew’s. We offer traditional hymns from Episcopal hymnals (Hymnal 1982, Wonder Love & Praise, and Lift Every Voice and Sing), and are exploring music of other faith traditions as well as “paperless music” to inspire new kinds of singing in community.
Music Director & Organist Anthony Petrone has more than 17 years experience working for various churches throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania, particularly Roman Catholic churches of the Diocese of Scranton, and Episcopal churches in the Diocese of Bethlehem. He has extensive background and training in the planning and execution of liturgies, working with cantors, soloists and choirs, and enjoys working with individuals of all ages.
Our choir leads the congregation in singing hymns and service music, and offers an anthem at the 9am service. Rehearsals are usually held on Thursday evenings and at 8am on Sundays.
We own a Rodgers Trillium T837 organ, a Baldwin grand piano, and a Yamaha upright piano. Local guest musicians are occasionally invited for special services, including bagpipers for St. Andrew’s patronal feast day in November.
